The Legend of Agoge
In the ancient world of gods and legends, there were those who became great men with revered reputations. Many men who dedicated themselves to transforming the world's canvas from monochrome landscapes to a vibrant tapestry of colors, bringing in a fully enveloped bright and colorful world. Sadly enough, wars on wars, battles among men, integration, and greed drove men and women to such measures. And among the chaos, tribulation, and adventure, hope arose; faith among men, and goodwill shown through one passing on that light to others to help color the world.
The code of honor, building a legacy, and a righteous cause were the paintbrushes, but it was war among men, gods, and giants that created a blank canvas. There arose a man who became a legend through a small seed of courage and faith; the man known on the hidden mountain as the Master Agoge. This is his legend!
Agoge, born into a life where he narrowly escaped a priest sacrifice to a ruling god. Agoge was just a child who had yet discovered his first steps. But through the intervention of a righteous king, this child grew into a young man of strong faith, courage, and a heart for the people.
This child will do great things:
A boy delivered into the hands of the Canaanite people, offered on the altar as a sacrifice to appease the god, Moloch. The child's people were victims of a raid, with men, women, and little children brutally murdered with only one brought back from their camp for offering. However, just before the blade of the priest could pierce the child's heart, warriors from a land called Salem came to the rescue in defense and in answer to what they saw as an abomination of a practice.
From that day on, the child was seen as a miracle and was held up and blessed by the king. He was said to be destined to accomplish great things and fight for the common man. Named by the king of Salem, Agoge. He was then raised among their people with a mysterious past, possibly being a Canaanite or from nomadic people nearby. The people of Salem called the child the Canaanite boy, but he remained reserved, although it was often seen as an insult.
So, from a vulnerable child to a determined young man, Agoge grew in knowledge and became a relentless seeker of wisdom and the various forms of combat art around the world. He vowed to never let another suffer the fate he narrowly escaped making it concrete in his heart to protect the weak and innocent. So, Agoge has wandered the earth, dedicating himself to mastering every form of combat imaginable while also taking his body beyond limitations.
