Gorgo
Gorgo, originating from a distant realm, on the brink of extinction due to their misuse of power and constant fighting amongst themselves. They believed themselves to be superior beings, gods, neglecting the needs of their subjects only concerning themselves with their own affairs. In this realm the gods they acted as though the humans did and often times worse.
Medusa, a priestess for Athena, caught the attention of Poseidon, the Greek god of the sea. Despite her vow to remain pure and serve Athena as priestess, Poseidon allegedly raped her, resulting in her pregnancy and loss of her innocence which forced her to break the vow she had once pledged.
Athena was unaware of the situation until the birth of Gorgo. Upon learning of what happened, Athena punished Medusa by cursing her with an unattractive appearance along with her sisters who attempted to plead her case. Athena's envy led to the demise of Medusa and her sisters, as she provided Perseus with impenetrable armor and powerful weapons.
Athena chose Perseus with great deliberation to carry out the task of beheading Medusa as a form of punishment for betraying a goddess and out of jealousy for the affection Medusa received from Poseidon. Perseus decapitated Medusa and her sisters, and had their heads mounted on a shield known as Aegis.
As Medusa's head was severed, her blood spilled on the ground and from it arose Pegasus, a white winged horse with the ability to shapeshift into a stunning woman. From the moment the blood of the Gorgon sisters stained the earth, Pegasus was bound to Perseus as his loyal servant. Kept captive in a cage, she was only released at his command, existing solely for his pleasures and desires.
The shield however was then thrown into the high weapons vault on Mount Olympus, serving as a warning for those who lure men in a seductive way, although Zeus, Poseidon and Athena knew the full story.
Gorgo, the daughter of Poseidon was abandoned and left to die to cover up her father's wrongdoing. Athena not only punished Medusa for breaking her vow but cast Gorgo, Mudusa's daughter, down to Earth where she lived among humans. Gorgo was exiled and forced to serve as a slave to an Emperor. Gorgo, a servant to the Emperor and often forced to serve soldiers. She experienced daily pain and suffering that transformed her love and mercy into disgust and hatred.
