The Galaxy Sentinals
The seven kids, living at the ministry for troubled youth had formed a tight-knit family over the years. Summer and Royse were like protective older ones, always looking out for the others. Brooklyn and Hana brought energy. Javier was the competitive one, the boxer who trained but also the one out of all known as the lonewolf. Stewart and Kwame were the thinkers, constantly exploring the world through science and knowledge.
Despite their different personalities and backgrounds, the seven of them were inseparable. They’d weathered storms together —real ones and the kind that tore people apart—but each trial only made their bond stronger. Closer than family, bound by something deeper than blood. But this time, it wasn’t just another hardship. This was different—this was a something none of them saw coming…
On a whim, the kids decided to take a detour through the forest on their way back from school. As they strolled along, they stumbled upon a massive oval-shaped pearl that seemed to glow with an foreign light. Intrigued yet cautious, the kids gathered around the mysterious stone, their curiosity piqued.
Kwame — always the curious one, and never quite cautious enough — couldn’t resist. He reached out and touched the pearl. In an instant, a pulse of energy burst forth, wrapping six of the kids in a strange light. This was no ordinary pearl; it was something far beyond anything from Earth — a relic of another dimension. Frozen in place, the kids stood wide-eyed as streams of energy pierced into them one by one — all except Stewart, who could only watch, too stunned to move. As the last flicker of light faded and the energy fully transferred, the pearl simply disappeared, as if it had poured every ounce of itself into them.
By the time the transfer was complete, the distant wail of sirens filled the air. Police and government officials raced toward the crash site — but when they arrived, the pearl was gone. All that remained were six kids, lying unconscious in a perfect circle, surrounding the spot where the pearl’s power had once touched the earth. Stewart, hearing the chaos closing in, had already slipped away. The others weren’t so lucky. Rounded up and questioned, they told the authorities everything — every strange, impossible detail — but their story was met with disbelief.
The six chosen by the pearl’s cosmic power were Hana, Brooklyn, Javier, Summer, Kwame, and Royse.
